They charged over $200 for diagnostic. They said they’ll call me to let me know but never did. I called them 5 hours later and they told they don’t know what is wrong with the car. And to fully know what is wrong I have to pay an additional $1000 for them to know what is wrong with it. So I have to pay $1200 + just to diagnosis, and that is not including any repairs. Absolutely ridiculous. And the front lady was very rude. All she can said was “I don’t know”.

Hello. After smoke testing your vehicle, as part of the diagnostics process, smoke was found coming from above the fuel tank. Fuel tank removal is required to verify the source of the smoke. This source is the repair you need. Unfortunately there is additional cost to proceed. I, Aaron, was present as Susie spoke with you on the phone and then at the counter. I was not convinced you understood the information being conveyed to you. It was apparent you were in a hurry, as you were very short with Susie and didn't even get your receipt. Our work does have a nationwide parts and labor warranty, so if you are ready to proceed, just give us a call. Thank you. ~Aaron~

There was no need to “drop the gas tank” or whatever. So a rat or a squirrel chew a hole in one of the pipe that carry gas to the fuel tank. The tech looked under my car and in less 2 minute he found the problem. Honest-1 quoted $1200 just to diagnose the car. Wow. Talk about incompetence and dishonest. “Honest-1” - change your business name, the irony is laughable.

Staff are amazing, always get the best customer service. I started coming here after having a bad experience else where, and now I won’t go anywhere else.

Absolutely amazing job and great price. I called about five places looking for a quote on changing my serpentine belt and they were all almost $100 more than what I was charged here. Since I diagnosed the car myself other places also wanted to charge me a diagnostic fee ranging from $80-$200. When I called honest auto care there was a lovely lady on the phone who said they would be happy to check it free of charge and if it was just that I needed to tighten the pulley they would do that as opposed to replacing it without confirming. I dropped my vehicle off this morning, and was able to pick it up by lunchtime with my new belt. Everyone here was so courteous and kind

Office lady is rude and dismissive. I specifically asked for items such as an alignment and oil change and they acted like I was stupid and didn't ask for the items to be done. When I called to point out that my maintenance required light was still on and that I had asked for an oil change and to confirm if it had been done they told me "no it hadn't and that it was fine because they added some oil even tho it was low and if I wanted to "waste my money" I could come in and get it done but other than the oil filter struggling a bit I should be fine for a few thousand miles. And in regards to the light i could look it up in my manual or on google to reset it, its super easy". When i again pointed out that i had asked for a maintenance to be done on my vehicle and it wasnt all i got in response was "we are human and miss things" how about some customer service? Your whole job is to preform maintances asked for and notify a driver if there are other concerns. Never offered to do it free of charge or at a discount due to there admitted mess up. Talked to me like i was an idiot. And not to mention tried to lie and say that we never asked for the oil change to be done in the first place. Such a joke. If I ask a mechanic for something to be done I expect it to be done. If my car gets damaged because of this I'm suing.

Thank you for your review. Let me start by saying we are all human and occasionally miss things. That's why Honest-1 Auto Care has a 3yr/36k nationwide parts and labor warranty. Cole's vehicle, came in for a number of things. He authorized us to proceed with some items, totaling in excess of $1300 (tires, alignment check, spark plugs, fuel system cleaning, air filter & turn signal bulb) with the vehicle still needing additional service. Let me tell you about the things for that car he wasn't charged for. First, the oil was 1.5 qts low, this is only a 3.9 qt system. Customers should check their own oil regularly. There were check engine light codes on. One was for an oil control valve which was elected not to be replaced. Lots of other dash lights WERE on. Those were looked into and after ascertaining these would not hurt the vehicle, they were cleared and the vehicle was road tested to insure none of these lights would return. FREE of charge. Also, we performed a wheel alignment check for $65. We saw that the vehicle did indeed need an alignment and performed that service FREE of charge due to financial limitations. No diagnostics were charged for the four check engine light codes. I am not sure how an oil filter can “struggle”, but you informed me you were unable to return today for an oil change. The oil is now FULL which is significantly better than when it was dropped off. We don’t lie. We don’t need to. The cars speak for themselves. ~Susan-Store Manager~

You came in with your car dying. We replaced your crank sensor on your '98 Lexus. I understand how hard it is not to have a reliable vehicle. But when you brought it back for the same symptoms we are not going to throw parts at it if we can't condemn the parts to be bad. Unfortunately, sometimes these things take time to show themselves. Everything we do has a 3 year/36k mile warranty so you will be covered. Susie

I have been going to Honest-1 Auto for my oil changes for many years. They have always completed them quickly and without problems. They regularly run a deal through groupon of around $80 for 4 oil changes, and sometimes you can get it even less than that. It's a super good deal. The people are friendly and honest. I realize the oil change is to get you in the place to find other maintenance items, that they can sell you. Many shops do this. Actually, I find it helpful to have someone look over my vehicle to find issues. At this point, I can either do the work myself or have them do it. The vast majority of the time, the work they find, is truly something that is of concern. I have gone to other shops where they tell me bogus problems, which Honest-1 doesn't do; I appreciate this.
